J. Michael Abbott has been named president of the American Institute of Architects Rhode Island Chapter. Abbott previously served as vice president of the chapter. He is a principal at Newport Collaborative Architects. Abbott has a B.A. in environmental design and a M.A. in architecture from Miami University, Ohio.
