Karen Talbot has been promoted to vice president / deposit operations manager for Bank Rhode Island. She is responsible for maintaining the bank’s deposit products, as well as testing and establishing new products. Talbot also coordinates year-end processing and is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the retirement plans account portfolio in accordance with IRS rules and regulations. She joined the bank in 1996, holding various positions of increasing responsibility. Talbot holds a general banking diploma from the American Institute of Banking in Norwich, Conn. She and her family live in Griswold, Conn.
