Michele R. Berard has been named director of development at Butler Hospital in Providence. She is responsible for expanding the hospital’s philanthropic efforts. Berard is a certified fund-raising executive. She most recently held the position of director of development and marketing at Caritas Inc. in Pawtucket. She received a bachelor’s degree from Rhode Island College. Berard lives in Providence.
