Patricia Smurro has joined the Newport County Convention & Visitors Bureau as national sales manager. She is responsible for generating meeting and convention business from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Greater Boston and the pharmaceutical industry. Smurro has worked in hotel sales in Newport since 2002, and before that, in New York and North Carolina, where she once was a caterer.
