PBS chooses eBT’s system for Web content

PROVIDENCE /PRNewswire/ — eBT, a leading provider of enterprise-wide Web content management and workflow solutions, recently announced that Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) has chosen its content management and workflow automation solution engenda to manage and personalize content for its Web site (www.pbs.org),as well as improve the site’s workflow process.

PBS is a private, non-profit media enterprise owned and operated by public television stations across the nation.   • Reduce administrative burden: engenda’s easy-to-use browser-based workflow application will streamline the process for non-technical editorial staff to contribute and manage Web content.
  • Increase localized content: PBS offers site visitors the opportunity to localize their content to view local television listings and other local features. engenda will enable PBS to extend its local offerings by allowing additional local content to be delivered based on user selection.
  • Deliver content to multiple devices: XML-based engenda separates content from presentation and will enable PBS to deliver content to wireless devices such as mobile phones and handheld devices.
