Stephen Russell has been named vice president, business lending officer at Bank Rhode Island, based in Providence. He is responsible for expanding the bank’s commercial lending portfolio as well as managing a group of business loan relationships. He serves on the board of directors and finance committee for the Community Preparatory School in Providence and Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce. Russell received a bachelor’s degree from Bentley College in Waltham, Mass., and his master’s degree from the University of Rhode Island.
