Thomas F. Lyons has been elected president and chief executive officer of Fall River Five Cents Savings Bank. He joined the bank in 2000 as senior vice president overseeing the commercial services division. Lyons serves as a member of the New Bedford Economic Development Council, Southeast Economic Development Council, Waterfront Area Historic League, U.S.S. Massachusetts Memorial Committee Inc., United Way of Greater Fall River and the Southcoast Division of the American Heart Association. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York and his master’s degree from Bryant College. He and his wife live in Middletown.
