Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian will hold on Dec. 5 an economic development roundtable, which he hopes will measure the effectiveness of municipal economic development policies and to identify policies that would promote business growth.
The mayor said the initiative is designed to help the city establish itself as a partner for local businesses — identifying existing programs that are making a difference and targeting new areas where the city can provide assistance.

As part of the effort, the city’s economic development office has mailed out more than 450 surveys to area businesses. The results will be compiled by city officials and will serve as the basis for discussion at a breakfast forum to be hosted by the mayor on Dec. 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Radisson Airport Hotel.
Any business that did not get a survey and would like to take part in the program should call Bill Facente, the city’s director of economic development, at 738-2000 x 6202
