FARMINGTON HILLS, MICH. — Complete Business Solutions, Inc., a global technology services company with offices in Providence, has changed its name to Covansys. Thc company has undergone what it calls a “re-engineering effort” over the past six months, including the closing of branch offices, an expansion of its sales force and $40 million in pre-tax charges for restructuring and a writing down of assets in the fourth quarter. According to CBSI, the company’s name change is the culmination of its re-engineering effort.
At of 1:40 p.m. today, CEO Michael Bealmer will officially unveil Covansys as the company’s new name at the Nasdaq MarketSite in New York, the company said. Covansys will trade under the symbol CVNS. The formal legal name change is subject to shareholder approval at the company’s annual meeting this summer, the company said.
