PC Troubleshooters to host ‘cloud computing’ seminar

WARWICK – At this year’s Rhode Island Business Expo, Eric M. Shorr, founder and president of PC Troubleshooters Inc. will present a free seminar about incorporating the cloud into everyday business practices.

The seminar, “Stepping into the Cloud,” will explain various aspects of cloud computing and how business owners can incorporate the technology into their business model.

“There is a lot of hype revolving around the cloud,” said Shorr in prepared remarks. “My discussion focuses on the growing demand for cloud applications and how small and medium size businesses can take advantage of the latest technologies to poise their businesses for success.”

A recent study by IDG Enterprise showed that, on average, the 1,650 information technology and business professionals surveyed allocated more than 34 percent of their budget to cloud solutions.

“Adoption of cloud applications is growing as the demand for mobility and stronger disaster recovery solutions rise,” said the PC Troubleshooters release.

Seminar topics include:

  • What is the difference between the cloud and cloud computing?
  • How do I know the cloud is secure?
  • What are the benefits of the cloud?

The presentation will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 3 in the Technology Track area on the showroom floor. Admission to RIBX 2012 is free with a business card.
